Public Health Nurses
A nursing speciality devoted to public health is public health nursing, commonly referred to as community health nursing. Public health nurses carry out pre-planned actions that are necessary to safeguard and advance patient health. The UK's idea for long-term health success and accomplishment is fundamentally based on public health. It is widely acknowledged to be everyone's business and is a key component of the modern health plan that aims to set the stage for the population's health and welfare up to 2030. Public health nurses have three major goals: to prevent sickness in people and encourage healthy lifestyles; to protect people from disease by using vaccines and by keeping track of the disease process, and to bring about long-lasting changes in communities via education and health-promoting activities.
