Occupational health and safety are a branch of public health that investigates trends in workplace injuries and illnesses and recommends and implements prevention methods and laws. Its reach is broad, spanning fields as diverse as toxicology and epidemiology to ergonomics and violence prevention. Occupational health and safety regulations require the removal, reduction, or replacement of dangers on the job site.
