The organisation and administration of the resources and duties for dealing with the humanitarian elements of calamities is known as emergency management, sometimes known as emergency response or disaster management (prevention, preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery). The goal is to avert and lessen the negative consequences of any risks, including disasters. According to the World Health Organization, an emergency is a situation in which regular operations are disrupted and quick action (management) is required to prevent it from turning into a disaster, which is much more difficult to recover from. Employers may be obligated to safeguard employees during an emergency from any injury brought on by any conceivable danger, including physical, chemical, and biological exposure. A company should create an emergency response plan and offer pre-emergency training. Before implementing an emergency action plan, employers should annually teach their staff to explain the roles they will play and/or the course of action they will take. [19] The emergency response plan, evacuation method, warning/reporting procedure, and shutdown protocols should all be included in the training programme. Depending on factors like the size of the workplace and workforce, the processes used, the materials handled, the resources available, and who will be in charge during an emergency, different training requirements apply.
