Dental and oral health are key aspects of overall health. Dental cavities and gum disease can be caused by poor oral hygiene. Oral health is a substantial indicator of general health, happiness, and life quality. Oral and general health have been proved to be linked. Oral illnesses are a major health problem in many nations, causing pain, discomfort, disfigurement, and sometimes death. Oral diseases are on the rise in most low- and middle-income nations, due to increased urbanisation and changes in living conditions. This is mostly due to insufficient fluoride exposure (in the water supply and oral hygiene products such as toothpaste) and limited community access to oral health care services.
