Title : Advancing data modernization in public health: Integrating automation, analytics, and publication through the chisquares platform

Abstract:

Modernizing public health data systems is essential to improving the timeliness, accuracy, and equity of population health surveillance. Persistent challenges—fragmented data integration, delayed reporting, and heavy reliance on coding-based workflows—continue to impede real-time public health response, particularly in low-resource settings. The Chisquares Platform (www.chisquares.com) directly addresses these challenges through an integrated, web-based ecosystem that automates the entire data-to-evidence workflow, enabling faster and more reliable decision-making across health systems. The platform combines rules-based computation with a risk-based AI framework to enhance analytical accuracy while ensuring ethical and transparent automation. Chisquares modernizes every stage of evidence generation—protocol development, sampling, analysis, and manuscript writing—within a single environment. Unlike conventional systems that separate data collection, analysis, and reporting, Chisquares unifies these components to eliminate redundancy and human error. Its built-in validations and weighting algorithms ensure representativeness in complex survey analysis, while its offline functionality allows seamless data entry and synchronization even in low-connectivity environments. This presentation will demonstrate how the platform accelerates data modernization through practical examples, including the replication of a CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) analysis using the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). The demonstration will showcase how a workflow that typically spans months can be completed in minutes—producing validated analyses and publication-ready manuscripts without manual coding. Beyond efficiency, Chisquares democratizes research by lowering technical barriers, empowering diverse professionals and institutions to engage in evidence generation. By merging automation, visualization, and reproducible analytics, the platform represents a significant advancement in the modernization of public health data infrastructure. Chisquares exemplifies how technology can bridge capability gaps, strengthen outbreak response, and support data-driven policymaking—ultimately creating a smarter, more equitable public health system capable of rapid, evidence-based action.
