About Marielis Roman Ramos

Marielis Roman Ramos is a bachelor of science in public health student at Southern New Hampshire University and a laboratory assistant in a pathology laboratory in Puerto Rico. She previously served as a COVID-19 contact tracer for the Puerto Rico Department of Health and has been recognized by the Puerto Rico Department of Health and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for her contributions during public health week. She completed advanced training in cancer prevention and control through the University of Puerto Rico Comprehensive Cancer Centre in collaboration with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre. Her interests include cancer epidemiology, cancer prevention, health equity, and improving access to early detection through evidence-based public health strategies.
