Biography:
M Sharma is an independent researcher from Jaipur, India, with research interests in women and child development, community-based interventions and social innovation. She was selected for Commonwealth Scholarship 2008-2009 for her partial fulfilment of her PhD programme at the University of Edinburgh, UK. This reflects her academic engagement and international exposure. She has been successfully running a child day care centre in Jaipur for the past 10 years, gaining extensive practical experience in early childhood care and development. Building on this experience, she now seeks to develop and promote a high-quality community-based day-care model for underprivileged children.
