Biography:
Ms. BreAnne Young bachelors' degree from the University of Miami, and her Master of Science in Public Health from UM Miller School of Medicine. Currently a PhD candidate in Prevention Science and Community Health, Ms. Young has several publications reflecting her research on community health worker strategies to attenuate racial health disparities, primarily in the field of HIV. From 2016 – 2019, she served as the program manager for several community-based research and service programs focused on Miami’s high-risk Black populations and, prior to returning to school, she managed the largest street-based HIV testing initiative in South Florida.
